RIM one of the leading provider of IT products and consumer electronics manufacturer has launch of its new mobile phone namely, BlackBerry Pearl 8100. The Pearl 8100 with screen itself is a mere 240x260 pixels, which we found a bit small, but the light sensor meant we stood a good chance of reading it even when outdoors. O2 provided our review unit and it has added two home screen themes to the three that BlackBerry provides. You can preview them before choosing, which is a nice touch. The left and right edges of the Pearl each have a 'convenience key', which can be programmed as you wish. Out of the box the right key runs the built-in camera, the left lets you use voice dialling. On the right edge there is also a volume key, which only works when there is sound coming from the Pearl, for example when you are on a call or listening to music. BlackBerry Colt QNX Smatphone Review, Specs and Price

    Posted on 09:18 by Unknown
    BlackBerry Colt QNX
BlackBerry has launch new smartphone namely, BlackBerry Colt QNX. The Colt, will launch on schedule in Q1 2012, but in order to get the phone out on time, RIM has had to make some compromises. The first compromise is the presence of a single-core processor. At a time when dual-core processors are becoming commonplace and quad-core processors are around the corner, this could really hold the Colt back if true. One of the reasons for this was because RIM needs to rewrite its BlackBerry Enterprise Server code in order for it to support the new QNX operating system. Internal testing is currently taking place within RIM and sources say the software verification team is well into the process.

BlackBerry Colt QNXWhen looking at any of today’s high-end smartphones we expect to see a dual-core processor, however we are hearing that the internal testing of the Colt is with a single-core processor. As pointed out by BGR this could change before release and we think it has to, let’s face dual-core smartphones started showing up in early 2011 and we have already heard of handsets on the horizon which will boast dual-core 1.5GHz chips – surely a single-core smartphone can’t compete with this. Obviously you can argue that clock speed is useless without a well-written OS, and this is true, but we really fail to see how a single core QNX device will outdo Android etc combined with dual-core processors.

It is not all bad news, we can confirm that RIM plan to follow up the Colt with a dual-core QNX smartphone, also we are reliably informed that developers are hard at work on a QNX-specific BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the Colt probably won’t launch with this, therefore instead Microsoft Exchange users will have to use Microsoft ActiveSync instead (this will come pre-installed).

So there you have it folks some good and some bad news about RIM’s QNX smartphone release plans, we think that it is great that developers are working hard on things like BlackBerry Enterprise Server for QNX, but we don’t think consumers will be keen to agree a two-year deal in 2012 with a single-core device – do you?

RIM’s BlackBerry Torch 9860 will come with the brand new BlackBerry 7 OS pre-installed. This includes heavy optimisation for touch-based devices – something not always associated with previous qwerty-centric BlackBerry devices. One of the biggest enhancements of the OS is something RIM’s referring to as ‘Liquid Graphics’. This means that almost every visual element – from animations to icons and beyond – makes use of hardware acceleration to boost responsiveness and visual fidelity. That’s perhaps the main reason behind the massive hike in processing power for the BlackBerry range.

Head on over to the Official BlackBerry Blog to find out more about the BlackBerry Torch 9860. Also, you can check out the following video released by Vodafone UK, which has confirmed that it will be stocking the device. Keep an eye on its Coming Soon page for more information in the near future.

BlackBerry Bold 9780 & 9700 Mobile phone Review and Price

    Posted on 08:16 by Unknown
    BlackBerry Bold 9780

With the arrival of the BlackBerry Bold 9780, fans of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 will no doubt be jumping at the chance to see how good RIM's latest flagship phone is.
While there are a few physical changes to note from its predecessor, the big news is the addition of the BlackBerry 6 operating system. We've got the Social Feeds view, a new WebKit-based internet browser, Universal Search, a richer media experience and lots more besides.
    new BlackBerry Bold 9780
The camera has been bumped up to five megapixels from the 9700's three, while the chrome edging has been toned back to black or white and the faux leather has also been dialed down. Inside, things haven't undergone a major revision either, with one significant exception: the RAM has been doubled to 512MB from the 9700's 256MB.

That's great news for the all-singing, all-multitasking new operating system.

Otherwise, we're still looking at 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, the full QWERTY keyboard, 480x360 2.44-inch screen and a host of built-in apps, including BlackBerry Messenger and BlackBerry App World. The Bold 9780 is available in black or white and is free on contract depending on your monthly bill. Ours was supplied by T-Mobile, and was tested on that network.

    Price Range : 600 (RM)

BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone Review and Price

    Posted on 11:12 by Unknown
    BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone
The new BlackBerry Bold 9000 is the successor to devices like the BlackBerry Curve and the 8800. It is evolutionary, not revolutionary. But RIM's long years of experience really come through in the Bold, and it is far and away the best BlackBerry I've ever used. Part of this is the elegance of the design, but a number of new features contribute as well, like the HVGA screen, HSDPA, and greatly improved software for working with Microsoft Office files.

    DESIGN & BUILD
RIM has dramatically improved the looks of its devices in recent years, and the Bold is a new high point. Its rounded corners and leather-textured back make it somehow both professional and sexy. And the higher-resolution screen is great, too. The Bold has a 320-by-480-pixel display, which is at least twice the resolution of the earlier RIM models, like the Curve. This is a beautiful screen that makes everything you do with the Bold look great, but especially watching movies.new BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone

This smartphone is wider than many of its competitors, but it's also relatively thin. And its width allows the aforementioned screen to be larger, and also makes room for a bigger keyboard. This isn't as wide as the landscape-oriented keyboards you'll find on some smartphones, but it's large enough to be comfortable to type on. There's no separation between keys, but each key has a raised area that makes it easier for you to be sure you're hitting just one at a time. Sadly, the Bold doesn't fix one of my biggest complaints with BlackBerry keyboards: there are no keys dedicated to the most frequently used punctuation marks, including the period and the comma.

Between the screen and keyboard is the trackball. As the Bold doesn't have a touchscreen, you'll do much of your interacting with it through this, and it's up to the job. After a couple of days of use, I began to think that a trackball is a better option than a D-pad and definitely superior to the old BlackBerry track-wheel. There are programmable keys on both the left and right sides of this device, which is another thing I'd like to see on other smartphones.

There's also a button on top you can use to mute incoming calls. This doesn't answer the call or send it to voice-mail, it just quickly shuts off the ringing sound. You can use this same button to put the Bold in standby mode, which locks the keys and turns the screen off until you hit this button again. It will still take calls, so it's a good way to carry your smartphone around.[www.brighthand.com]
